For thus says the One Who is high and lifted up, Who inhabits eternity, Whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.”
Good morning and welcome to worship at Dayton Avenue Baptist Church. Take a moment to read (or reread) the encouraging verse above. Our God, Who inhabits eternity (!), reaches down into our time and lifts us up. He revives us when we are lowly here and now, and, as we will study this morning, He revives us to inhabit eternity with Him through the resurrection of Jesus. Awesome Theology to live by today!
This morning may be the last Sunday we worship together with our college seniors. We thank the Lord for you and for the many ways you have encouraged and ministered to our church family. I will be recognizing you at the beginning of both services, and we have a special gift for each of you to remember your time here at Dayton Avenue. May God greatly bless you as you go on and live for Him!
Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to serve in VBS this July: 118 (!!!!!) adults and youth have volunteered. That was so encouraging to me that I had to share it with all of you. You are in our hearts and in our prayers. God bless you this week.
