They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall
walk, and not faint.
Welcome to worship this morning. You may have had a week that has sapped your strength physically and emotionally. May God’s promise in the verse above be your experience this morning as we corporately worship Him, study His Word, and encourage each other. I’ll be preaching on Waiting on God both today and next Sunday from Psalm 37.
It’s a great privilege to celebrate the baptism of Pete Combs this morning at the end of the 11:00am Worship Service. If you are ready to take this important step of obedience as a follower of Jesus, I’d love to talk with you about it. We do baptisms as often as we can – it’s one of the best church family things we do!
Thank you to our church family artists who have loaned paintings, photography, drawings, and textiles for our Art Worship Wall. When we use the creative gifts that God has given us to express our worship of Him, the results are powerful. Check it out if you haven’t been back there recently (we’ve now included the art that was done for the Good Friday Service). We still have room for more! Call our church office if you have a piece of artwork we could consider displaying.
As the spring semester comes to a close each year, we know that we will soon have to say goodbye to many college students who have become an important part of our church family. If you are a graduating college senior, please make sure you are here on Sunday, April 29th so that we can recognize you, pray for you,and give you a little gift to remember us by.
Thank you for helping me raise funds for my upcoming teaching trip to Mongolia (which is now fully funded)! God has been at work in many wonderful ways among us, and I am so thankful for each of you. We are praying for you; it is an honor to serve the Lord with you here.
