“By His wounds
we are healed….” ~Isaiah 53:5~
Welcome to Dayton Avenue this morning. We will be observing the Lord’s Table in our worship today, remembering the cruelty of Jesus’ Cross, the selflessness of His Sacrifice, and the magnitude of His Great Love for us. Observing Communion is an act of obedience as well as a personal recommitment to live our lives for Jesus. That is what true worship is really about – serving our Savior. [Note: the bread and the grape juice are gluten-free.].
A special welcome this morningto our college students. We ask that all of our guests stop by the Welcome Desk in the foyer for a gift bag with information and a little loaf of homemade bread. Our pastors, greeters, and ushers are also ready to help you. Even though we have identical worship services at 9:30 and 11:00, seating is always more challenging in the sanctuary at 11:00. Why not try out our Livestream Service in the Youth Room also at 11:00am?
AWANA begins this Wednesday evening! If you are looking for a great place to serve and invest your life in young people, AWANA and CREW (our youth ministry) are weekly opportunities to do that. Please let us know if you are willing to serve the Lord in this way.
If you have placed your faith in Jesus and want to publically testify through baptism that you belong to Him, please let a pastor know so that you can be included in the next Baptism Celebration. Welcome to new members Chuck and Linda Deglow and Laura Woodman who joined our church last Sunday. Greet them today if you haven’t done so already. I am so thankful for the many folks who have committed themselves in this same way to our church this past year. God is at work here and it is a joy to serve Him with all of you. Don’t hesitate to call on any of us pastors this week – we are here for you.
