And when they had opened their treasures,
they presented unto Him gifts;
gold and frankincense and myrrh. ~Matthew 2:11~

Welcome to Dayton Avenue this morning.  We are so glad to worship with you.  Like the wise men above, you made a journey here today, and we pray that you are truly able to worship Jesus and meet with Him in a special way.

Today our Children’s Choir will lead us in Christmas worship.  God has given our church a big treasure in our young people, and He is so honored when they – like us – worship and serve Him.  Today is the start of our Christmas Single Worship Service schedule.  The insert inside this bulletin contains the details you need to know.  Come back tonight at 6:00 for our business meeting – we’ll vote on a few church decisions with the Dessert Reception for Pastor Caleb and Julia following.  Bring a dessert to share!

Our church is committed to missions.  The Mission Home serves as a retreat for missionaries on furlough and in transition.  The Living Well Clinic ministry we opened in 2012 continues to serve our neighbors with free medical and spiritual help.  Individuals in our church family serve around the world on Short-term and Vocational Missions supported by the missions-giving of our church.  We receive special offerings at Easter and Labor Day for North American and Ohio church planting efforts, and we partner with Operation Christmas Child each fall.  But the largest single mission project we have each year is the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for world missions.  Will you ask God to enable you to give a special gift this month to help spread the good news of Jesus around the world?

If you are traveling over these next few weeks, be safe!  We love you and are praying for you.  May God bless you and keep you this Advent season.
