For I know the plans that I have
for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for
welfare and not for calamity to give
you a future and a hope.”

~Jeremiah 29:11~

Welcome to Christmas Worship today.  The wonderful verse above reminds us that celebrating Christmas is celebrating our hope in God and our faith in His plans for us.  He does have a future full of glad tidings and great joy for each of us who has received Jesus as Lord.

We are coming to the end of our Lottie Moon Christmas offering for missions emphasis, and we are much closer to our goal of $21,000.  Thank you for praying and giving for this special need.

When I pray for our church, I ask God to strengthen our faith and enlarge our borders of ministry.  2018 has certainly been a year of God stretching us as we seek to obey Him.  He has led us into areas that required greater dependence on Him, and He has opened doors of ministry to us that have caused our faith to grow stronger.  You need to know how proud I am as your pastor of the way you have taken those steps in love and unity.  God is so faithful!  He has blessed and provided in amazing ways for our church.  Thank you for being strong partners in the work God is doing here. Brian Humphreys joined our Church at the Business Meeting Sunday evening. Be sure to say hello to him in the weeks ahead.

May you truly know the wonder of Christmas this season as God fills your heart with hope and joy through faith in Jesus, our Lord and our Savior.  Please know that I am praying for your safety as you travel and for God’s highest blessing on you and yours. At this time of year when we tend to count our blessings, you all stand out.  We love you and want to express the joy and privilege we feel in serving with you.  Thank you for your faithfulness, your servants’ hearts, and your obedience to Jesus Christ.

Merry Christmas
