Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our
outer man is decaying, yet our inner man
is being renewed day by day.
Welcome to worship at Dayton Avenue – we are so glad that you are here. Dr. Dan DeWitt will be preaching this morning and I know we will all be encouraged and challenged as he shares about Life in the Wild, which is also the title of his newly released book. Dan will be signing copies of his book in the café area after services today – it’s a wonderful book and I encourage you to stop by and see him this morning.
Are you aware of our Prayer Team ministry? Send your prayer requests to firstname.lastname@example.org and our prayer warriors will receive an email alert to pray for you. If you’d like to join our team of pray-ers, send an email to the same address and ask to be put on the distribution list. Ladies, don’t forget the Women’s Mental Health Seminar is April 24th (see inside for details). This event has been a tremendous resource in past years and draws women from around our region. Take the opportunity to invite someone you know who would be helped and blessed on this day.
A Baptism Celebration will happen soon. If you have received Jesus as your Savior and are ready to take this important step of obedience and identification as His follower, please let me know so you can be included.
Some of you have been asking if we have a security team here at church, especially in light of what seems to be increasing incidents of violence in churches and schools. The answer is yes – we have men who are trained standing by, but we are also working on having more organization and training for them. You won’t necessarily know who they are, but you’ll know that they are there. May God bless you richly this week.
