Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near. ~Revelation 1:3~
Welcome to worship at Dayton Avenue today. We have been praying for God’s grace to cover us as we worship Him and learn more about Him from His Word. Thank you for joining us.
Our church ministries are starting back up in full swing. Each of us needs opportunities to grow in our walk with the Lord AND to serve others. The Ministry Fair today can help you learn about all the small group opportunities available for you. Being part of a small group community as a server and/or a learner is a really important component of a growing walk of faith. If you don’t have a LifeGroup, check out the Ministry Fair tables in the Foyer and Café this morning.
Finding seats for worship can sometimes be a challenge, especially for the 11:00 am service. The Back Worship Service in the Youth Room can be a great alternative for you. We’ve just purchased new, more comfortable chairs, and the more relaxed atmosphere may be just the right option for inviting your friends. Here’s another suggestion: make a post to your social media right now and invite your network to church with you via the livestream at our church website at 11:00am (and post the link – www.daytonave.org).
We want to officially welcome our transitional Worship Leader, Dr. Roger O’Neel (and his wife Nancy) back to Dayton Avenue. They served on staff with us from 2012-2015 in a similar role alongside Bruce and Becky Traeger. Roger serves as Director of the Worship program at Cedarville University.
We are beginning a new sermon series this morning on the book of Revelation. Last year we studied Genesis (where it all began) and it seems appropriate to now go to the end of the Bible and study where it all resolves! May God bless you all this week!
