“The real value of an object is that which one who knows its worth will give for it.  He Who made the soul knew its worth, and gave His life for it.”

~ Arthur Jackson ~

Welcome to worship at Dayton Avenue today.  Around the world, hundreds of millions of people are gathering together today – like us – to worship our Lord and Savior.  Think for a minute how awesome that really is.

The world around us may be in spiritual darkness, and far too many people may be under the power of the adversary, but every Sunday, no matter where on earth he may choose to go, Satan cannot get very far away from the sound of us Christians praising the name of Jesus, our great Savior!  Must drive him crazy!  May that be especially true in our church family this morning.

Today is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday and we stand with millions of others in support of Life.  In addition to speaking out – and voting – on behalf of the unborn, we put this into practice by being spiritually healthy parents, investing as a church family in the spiritual inheritance of children, advocating for fostering and adopting, and providing compassionate help for those who find themselves in a desperate situation with a baby on the way.  Our children truly are a heritage and a gift from God (Psalm 127:3).

The new Grief Share ministry begins this Thursday evening.  If you have experienced the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend, this ministry provides help, support, and encouragement as you process through the changes.  I encourage you to come.  Pick up a brochure (at the table in the foyer) for all of the details.

To be forgiven and to know Jesus personally is the greatest gift we can possess… and share.  God bless you as you continue to grow strong in your faith day by day.  Check inside this bulletin for important information on upcoming events and opportunities.  We love you and are praying for you this week.  We are here to help you.
