For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich. ~2 Corinthians 8:9~

Welcome to worship at Dayton Avenue.  The verse above reminds us how rich we are in Jesus this morning.  No matter how challenging this past week has been, we can joyfully praise and thank Him.  We will be observing the Lord’s Table together at the end of our service, and we are glad that you have come to worship Him with us.  [Note: the elements are gluten-free.]

Next Sunday evening is the Super Bowl which coincides with our monthly OutPour outreach event.  We had announced in the bulletin that we would host an event here at church that you could come to with your friends and neighbors. After further discussion, we have decided to make a few last-minute changes to the plan that we think you will appreciate!  Here’s the brief: if you invite a neighbor or friend (who doesn’t have a church) to your home to watch the game and ‚ are willing to show a short video that we will provide during halftime, I will buy the wings for you to serve that night!  Tune in for more details that I will be sharing with you this morning.

We need your prayers and help as we search for a new Pastor to Senior Adults.  A draft job description in posted in the foyer by the church office door and also across from the children’s desk.  Please turn in recommendations or applications to the church office.  On February 9th at 6:00pm is a special business meeting to consider a new proposal from our Long-Range Planning / Building Committee.  Another Baptism Celebration is also coming soon.  If you are ready to take this important step of obedience and identification, please speak with Pastor Jon so we can include you.

As always, there are many great opportunities to grow in your faith and serve the Lord inside this bulletin and on our website. You are in our hearts and in our prayers.  God bless you all this week.
