“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.”
Welcome to Dayton Avenue this morning. With the weather forcing us to cancel our regular Sunday services these last two weeks, it is GREAT to be worshiping together again today!
We stand today with millions of others in support of the Sanctity of Human Life. In addition to speaking out – and voting – on behalf of the unborn, we put this into practice by being spiritually healthy parents, investing in our family’s spiritual inheritance, and providing compassionate help for those who find themselves in a desperate situation with a baby on the way. Our children truly are a heritage and a gift from God (Psalm 127:3).
On both ends of the platform are supplies of our church ministry notebooks. The sermon note pages fit in these, making it easy for you to organize your Bible study materials and use it as a prayer journal. They are a free resource for you, so if you don’t have one yet, please help yourself to one today.
Throughout the year, the Hands Creating Comfort group meets here at our church to knit, quilt, and crochet items that they give away for people going through difficult medical or economic times. Last year they made and gave away 132 blankets, 215 child hats, 35 baby hats, plus hundreds of other handmade items! Thank you!
Many of you joined in last Sunday’s livestream service and have let me know how much you enjoyed reclining in your favorite chairs and eating breakfast at the same time. Don’t get too used to it! Apparently, I also have a talent for lulling pets to sleep in my sermon (our dog fell asleep, too)! I am thankful to the Lord for the technology and for all of you who joined in. We love you.
