Open my eyes, that I may behold
Wonderful things from Your law.
Welcome to worship at Dayton Avenue today. Whether you are in our front service or our back service, we pray that you will be encouraged and strengthened in your faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. If you are a first-time guest, please make sure that you visit the Welcome Desk and get a gift bag with a little loaf of homemade bread.
There are several important opportunities I want to highlight this week. First, our July OutPour takes place this Friday evening in conjunction with the Xenia 4th of July fireworks (all the details are in the insert). We’ll be inviting people to attend Ice Cream Sunday, so I am asking you to please come and participate. Second, next Sunday evening we will be worshiping with friends from the Fundamental Baptist Fellowship Association (FBFA), a group of predominantly African-American churches from around the United States. They are having their annual conference at Cedarville and I am so encouraged that they have included us in their schedule of events.
Finally, we will have a special business meeting Sunday evening July 15th to consider adding another pastoral position to our church staff. Extra copies of the letter containing details and explanations behind this recommendation are available for you at the Welcome Desk.
Welcome to all the new members who joined last week: Andrew Bitner, Jim and Shelly Boak, Luke Bullis, Emma Burgess, Don and Sandi Harner, Barbara Oster, Caroline and Shirley Parks, and Rachel Stephenson!! If you didn’t get a chance to welcome them last week, seek them out today and do so. Just a final reminder – because of the 4th of July holiday, there will be no evening service today and no mid-week service this Wednesday. We love you and are praying for you every day. May God richly bless you this week.
