Are not five sparrows sold for two cents? Yet not one of them is forgotten before God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.  ~Luke 12:6-7~

Welcome to Dayton Avenue this morning – we are so glad you are here today. In Romans 4:20, Abraham is described as “growing strong in faith and giving glory to God.”  What a great statement: I hope that is true in our lives today, too.

Today is Ice Cream Sunday, and if you are here because you were invited at the fireworks on Friday evening – THANK YOU for coming! We are so glad you are here. We’ll be serving everyone some Young’s Jersey Dairy ice cream right after our worship service (Vanilla, Strawberry, or Cookies & Cream). I know that you didn’t make the effort to come out this morning just because there would be free ice cream (!); you have a sincere interest in being here at church. So, we hope that you encounter our Savior Jesus in a fresh way during worship this morning.

Vacation Bible School begins in one week!! Thank you to all of you who are helping with this fantastic ministry. We still need some more workers. See Pastor Robert today if you can help.

This evening at 6:00 we will be worshiping with friends from the Fundamental Baptist Fellowship Association, a group of predominantly African-American churches from around the United States. They are having their annual conference at Cedarville and I am so encouraged that they have included us in their schedule of events. Next Sunday evening, July 15th at 6:00, we will have a special business meeting to consider adding another pastoral position to our church staff. Details and explanations behind this recommendation are printed for you at the Welcome Desk.

God knows each of us and loves us! That is an amazing thought.  We love you and are here for you too. God bless you this week.
