Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,
to which indeed you were called in one body;
and be thankful.

~Colossians 3:15~

Welcome fellow-worshipers!  When we place our faith in Jesus and entrust our lives to Him, we have inexpressible, inner joy.  But we try to express it anyway through worshiping together!  I hope each of us is infected with that joy today.

Today is Covenant Sunday – an opportunity for us to renew our commitment to the Lord and to our church family, including a time of communion in observing the Lord’s Table.  The format is a little different – we’ve included some instructions on the bulletin insert.  [Please note: the elements are gluten-free.]

Did you notice the changes to our pastoral team in the text box below?  Last Sunday evening at our special business meeting, we voted to call Bruce Traeger to serve as part-time Senior Associate Pastor and also to transition Pastor John Chavies into the new role of part-time Executive Pastor.  This is a wonderful answer to prayer as we anticipate a number of new and exciting opportunities for ministry happening in 2019.  In addition, we voted to call John Bright as part-time Middle School Pastor, beginning January 2019.  Please pray for us as we adjust to our new working relationships.

Come back this evening at 6:00 and enjoy a Thanksgiving Pie Social (bring some yummy pie to share)!  There will be no services this Wednesday evening – enjoy a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

God is at work here in our church, and it is humbling to see how He does that through us.  We (your pastors) love you and uphold each of you in prayer.  Thank you for your faithful labor of love to the Lord through our church.  We are praying for God’s highest blessings on each of you as you live for Him this holiday season.
