O Lord, You are our Father,
we are the clay, and You our Potter;
all of us are the work of Your hand.
Welcome to worship at Dayton Avenue Baptist Church this morning. Thank you for being here and being a partner in what God wants to do in our lives by encouraging one another.
It’s my special joy to welcome Rev. Bob Bolds as our guest speaker this morning. We’ve been friends since 1992 when we were both deer-in-the-headlights seminary freshmen. Bob and his wife Robin and daughters Tori and Taylor moved to Dublin to serve as youth pastor with us at our first pastorate (both of us were bi-vocational), and they still serve there at Fellowship Baptist Church. I’m sure we will be blessed and encouraged as Bob shares God’s Word with us.
If you have placed your faith in Jesus and want to publicly testify through baptism that you belong to Him, please let a pastor know so that you can be included in the Baptism Celebration which is planned for November 4th. Rusty and Sharon Bice along with their family Christopher, Lacey, Isaiah, Sierra, and Melody joined our church last Sunday – look for them and welcome them this morning if you haven’t done so already.
Three weeks ago we voted to proceed with the Master Site Plan concepts presented last month. As work with the architect progresses we will keep you informed. In the meantime, some of you have been considering making special year-end gifts toward this project. Though we haven’t begun any grand promotion, you certainly are encouraged to give as the Lord enables you. Simply mark your special gift “Building Fund” and we’ll accrue those funds to be applied to the project as it continues to take shape.
We love you and thank the Lord for the privilege of serving Him together with you. We are praying for you every day.
