Let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth;
for I delight in these things,” declares the L
ORD.

~ Jeremiah 9:24 ~

Welcome to Dayton Avenue.   We are so glad to worship with you.  Our desire today is that you will be strengthened in your faith, drawn closer to God, and be an encouragement to others.
Everything around here looks normal, which is amazing after the transformation of our campus for last Sunday’s Fall Festival. Things looked normal on Monday morning(!), which is a tribute to the love, creativity, and enthusiasm you all showed serving.  A special Thank-You to Char Gates, Morgan Straw, and their team of leaders.  Of the hundreds of people that registered, fifty-two indicated that they want to learn more about our church!  Please continue to pray with us as we follow-up on the seeds that were planted Sunday.

We’ve invited special guests Troy and Melissa Haas for a Sexual Integrity Sunday on October 22nd.   Details about that special Sunday (and the Leadership Seminar on Saturday) are on the bulletin insert inside.  Each year at Thanksgiving and Christmas we minister to our community by delivering food baskets.  We ask that you – our church family – nominate people you know would be encouraged by this simple act of kindness.  Having a direct connection with someone in our church opens doors for witness and makes this truly a ministry.  You can nominate someone you know by filling out the insert and putting it in the offering plate. You can also help assemble and deliver the baskets or by making a special gift to our benevolence fund.

During September we received special offerings for Disaster Relief in Texas and Florida and also for our State Missions Offering helping to plant churches in Ohio.  Thank you for your generosity: we gave $3,470 and $2,725 respectively for these efforts.  God is at work in our church!  That is a wonderful blessing, and a great responsibility, so let’s keep praying for God’s will and protection.  We love you.
