Prayer Ministry

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding...
Colossians 1:9

God wants us to talk to Him. In fact, He commands it. Praying is the unique means by which we can communicate with ALMIGHTY GOD. At Dayton Avenue, we believe in prayer… we believe God hears and answers prayer.

Prayer draws us closer to God and closer to one another. Throughout the New Testament, the apostle Paul repeatedly remarks on the prayers he puts up on behalf of the young churches of his time. Peter, one of Christ’s disciples, recounts miraculous events that were the direct answer to prayer.

DABC considers prayer to be a vital ministry as we continue to grow and understand God’s power and working in our lives.

Prayer Groups

While we encourage every LIfe Group to support one another in prayer, there are several small groups that are specifically dedicted to supporting our people, our church, our community, and our country in prayer.

G-Moms

Led by Claudette Presley

We meet the 2nd Sunday of each month at 4:30 pm in Room 101.

G-Moms is a group of grandmothers who meet together for the purpose of praying for our children and grandchildren. II Timothy 1:5 and III John 1:4 are the verses on which we were founded. We have a short devotional and share our praises and requests, followed by a time of prayer. We welcome any interested grandmother, aunt, lady that loves to pray for others to join us.

Share Your Prayer Requests

We consider it a privelege to pray for one another. Do you have a request for prayer you would like to share with us? It will remain confidential and will never be posted to a public forum. Requests placed here will be directed to our church office where they will be brought to the Lord on your behalf. We would also love to hear your Praise reports so we can share in your joy.
