Missions

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Acts 1:8

Upcoming Missions Trips

At DABC we are excited to send out individual men and women, as well as teams of adults and teens to serve in short-term mission opportunities. Please join us in prayer and support for these people as they take the light of the Gospel into other places and nations.

If you are a member or Watch Care member of DABC, and you are planning to go on a missions trip this year, please contact Pastor Tim so the church can know to be praying for you and, if needed, seeif your trip qualifies for financial assistance.

Costa Rica Medical Missions Trip

2024

We are working to pull together a team of medical as well as non-medical people who are willing to give of their time and talent to minister to the needs of people in a particular community. Working with GC2 Ministries, we will provide one-day clinics to work with existing medical missionaries or to launch new programs in the area.

In addition to providing much-needed physical aid, we will also be presenting the gospel to, potentially, 100-300 local individuals as they come to the clinic.

We are praying for…

  • a Pharmacist
  • 4 Medical personnel (does not have to be a doctor… can be nurses, NP or PA’s or paramedics)
  • 5 Non-medical personnel (for registration, triage, record keeping)

Strategic Partnerships

DABC maintains missions-focused partnerships within the SBC as well as the greater Dayton community. Working with and supporting these parachurch ministries enables us to expand our outreach and further the opportunities to share the Good News of Jesus Christ as we meet the needs of those close to home as well as around the world.

Through the Cooperative Program, as well as the annual Lottie Moon offering, the IMB supports over 3,600 missionaries around the world. Our partnership with this organization, along with those of other supporting Southern Baptist churches, enables our financial gifts to be multiplied around the world to bring the Gospel to “every tribe and every nation.”

Our partnership with the North American Mission Board provides much-needed resources to help plant churches, provide disaster relief, and support ongoing local ministries. The annual Annie Armstrong Easter Offering specifically designates those gifts to go to this all-important ministry. There are so many people living in our own country who do not know of the love of Jesus. The NAMB works effectively, along with its partner churches, to help address those who need to hear the truth.

Providing a ray of hope to women who are dealing with an unplanned pregnancy, Hope Rising provides pro-life compassion, resources, and confidential counseling in the greater Dayton area. With four offices located around the city, this ministry offers both men and women the support they need to enable them to choose to give their child life. We, at DABC, are proud to be supporting partners with this organization.

At Athletes in Action (AIA), we are a community that understands there are some needs that sport cannot meet. For more than 50 years we’ve been walking with athletes to help them grow in all dimensions of life, becoming a total athlete. We connect athletes and coaches to our global community where they can develop holistically and discover purpose both during and after their competing career.
