Welcome to the LifeGroup page for Dayton Avenue Baptist Church. We’re so glad you’re here. Thank you for taking the time to find out more about our groups.
When we look at God’s Word we find that the Christian life is designed to be lived with others. There are many examples of this I could share, but here are just a couple to show you what I mean. First, starting with creation we see that it was not good for man to be alone and God provided for him in the creation of Eve. And then if we fast forward in history to the end of Jesus earthly ministry as he prepared for the cross that was before Him, He prayed. He prayed for Himself. He prayed for His apostles. And He prayed for you and me. His prayer was that we may be one as He and the Father are one. His prayer was for unity that produces maturity, so that the world may know that He was sent by the Father to save those who place their faith in Him. This is why we want everyone to have the opportunity to connect with others who are on this same journey. We want to be a church of Gospel-centered relationships. A LifeGroup is where this happens.
Our LifeGroups are our church in action. They are open ongoing groups that intentionally balance Biblical instruction, fellowship, restoration, and missions with a goal of making disciples of Jesus Christ. There are groups for all ages. Some groups blend together multiple generations while other groups are more geared to specific stations of life. There are groups that meet On-Campus and others that meet Off-Campus. There are groups that meet on Sunday mornings and others that meet throughout the week. And we want to start many new groups in addition to those that are listed. We want you to find a place to connect with other believers because we feel this is the most effective way for our lives to be transformed into what God wants them to be.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact Pastor John Chavies or any of our staff. We are here to help you connect.
